Appendix B: The Witness Ledger
The heart of this book is a claim you should be able to check: that the Father wrote His own calendar as a prophecy, and kept the spring appointments in His own flesh, to the day. This ledger lays the receipts out feast by feast so you can test the threads yourself rather than take them on trust. The spring entries record what has already been fulfilled; the fall entries record what the same calendar still points toward — some already begun in the flesh, their consummation still ahead.
Three tags, stated plainly so they can be tested. ROCK SOLID marks a connection the text makes outright — a direct quotation, an unmistakable fulfillment, or a claim Yeshua or an apostle makes in plain words. PLAUSIBLE marks a real resonance or a typological reading — a pattern that rings true, or a later custom that echoes the thing, true to the text but a reading, not a proof. TENSION marks where a detail is honestly contested or still awaiting its day. Unmarked entries are ROCK SOLID. Where a thing rests on a witness outside Scripture, that is named, and the witness illuminates — it never carries the claim.
Shabbat — the Sabbath
1. The seventh day set apart as the first holy thing, before any law or people. Genesis 2:2–3 → Exodus 16:23–29 (kept before Sinai); 20:8–11.
2. The weekly rest as a rehearsal of an eternal rest still to be entered — the rest that is a Person. Genesis 2:2 → Hebrews 4:9–10; Matthew 11:28. PLAUSIBLE — the open, eveningless seventh day read forward to the sabbatismos.
Pesach — Passover
3. The Passover lamb slain, its blood turning death aside — fulfilled in the Lamb of God, crucified on Passover at the hour of the lambs. Exodus 12:1–13 → John 1:29; 1 Corinthians 5:7.
4. "Not one of its bones shall be broken" — kept over Yeshua to the letter. Exodus 12:46; Numbers 9:12 → John 19:33–36.
5. The lamb chosen on the tenth, examined four days, offered on the fourteenth — matched by Yeshua's entry, examination, and death. Exodus 12:3–6 → John 12:1, 12; 18:38. PLAUSIBLE — the four-day correspondence.
6. Blood applied with hyssop on the door — the hyssop lifted to Yeshua's lips at the cross. Exodus 12:22 → John 19:29. PLAUSIBLE — resonance of the same plant.
7. The cup of redemption of the seder taken as the cup of the new covenant. Exodus 12 → Luke 22:20. PLAUSIBLE — the four-cup order is later-codified.
8. The broken, wrapped, hidden, and returned middle matzah (the afikoman). → Luke 22:19. PLAUSIBLE — a later custom that echoes the breaking, burial, and return; a resonance, not a proof.
Chag HaMatzot — Unleavened Bread
9. Leaven as the picture of sin, swept from the house — "cleanse out the old leaven." Exodus 12:15; 13:7 → 1 Corinthians 5:6–8.
10. The sinless Bread buried during the feast — the one leaven-free life laid in the ground. Leviticus 23:6 → John 19:42; 1 Corinthians 5:7–8.
11. The striped and pierced matzah. → Isaiah 53:5; Psalm 22:16; John 6:48–51. PLAUSIBLE — the bread's making read as resonance.
Yom HaBikkurim — Firstfruits
12. The first sheaf waved as the promise of the whole harvest — fulfilled when Yeshua rose, "the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep." Leviticus 23:10–11 → 1 Corinthians 15:20–23.
13. Raised on the day after the Sabbath, within the feast week — death, burial, resurrection on three consecutive appointments. Leviticus 23:11 → Matthew 28:1; 1 Corinthians 15:4.
14. The fifty-day count from rescue to Sinai mirrored by resurrection to the Spirit. Leviticus 23:15–16 → Acts 2:1. PLAUSIBLE — the counted bridge as pattern.
Shavuot — Weeks
15. Torah given at Sinai with fire — the Ruach given with fire on the same feast. Exodus 19:18; 31:18 → Acts 2:1–4.
16. The law moved from tablets of stone to tablets of the heart. Jeremiah 31:33; Ezekiel 36:27 → 2 Corinthians 3:3, 6; Acts 2.
17. Three thousand fell at the first Shavuot; three thousand were added at the fulfilled one. Exodus 32:28 → Acts 2:41. PLAUSIBLE — the texts give both numbers; the mirror is a reading.
18. Two leavened loaves waved, and Ruth the Moabite read at the feast — the nations kept a seat from the start. Leviticus 23:17; Ruth 1:16 → Ephesians 2:11–19. PLAUSIBLE — resonance and custom.
Yom Teruah — Trumpets (forward-looking)
19. The trumpet blast — the sign of the King's return and the raising of the dead. Leviticus 23:24 → 1 Thessalonians 4:16; 1 Corinthians 15:52; Matthew 24:31. PLAUSIBLE — the pattern of spring fulfillment points here; the day is not yet kept. TENSION on timing.
20. "No one knows the day or the hour" — the feast of the unseen new moon. Leviticus 23:24 → Matthew 24:36. PLAUSIBLE — the feast's nickname as the likely idiom.
21. The ram caught by its horns in Isaac's place — the substitute, and the horn that now sounds. Genesis 22:13 → Hebrews 11:17–19. PLAUSIBLE — the appointed reading, held as resonance.
Yom Kippur — the Day of Atonement (fulfilled at the cross; consummation forward-looking)
22. The high priest's once-a-year entry with blood — fulfilled in Yeshua's once-for-all entry by His own blood. Leviticus 16 → Hebrews 9:11–12.
23. The veil torn from top to bottom at the moment of His death — the way opened from God's side. Leviticus 16:2 → Matthew 27:51.
24. Two goats, one offering: the death that pays and the scapegoat that carries sin away. Leviticus 16:7–22 → Hebrews 9–10; 1 John 2:2. PLAUSIBLE — the dual figure read of the one Yeshua.
25. The scarlet that ceased to turn white about forty years before the Temple fell — around the year of the cross. Witness: Talmud, Yoma 39b (cf. Isaiah 1:18). PLAUSIBLE — a rabbinic witness, not Scripture; it illuminates, it does not carry the claim.
26. The liberty trumpet of Jubilee sounded from the Day of Atonement — release announced once the covering is made. Leviticus 25:9 → Luke 4:18–21.
27. A future national looking-up: "they shall look on Me, on Him whom they have pierced, and mourn." Zechariah 12:10 → Revelation 1:7. PLAUSIBLE — forward-looking. TENSION on timing.
Sukkot — Tabernacles (kept in flesh; consummation forward-looking)
28. The feast of God dwelling with His people — fulfilled when the Word "tabernacled" (eskēnōsen) among us. Leviticus 23:42–43 → John 1:14.
29. The water poured at the feast — "if anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink," said of the Spirit. Isaiah 12:3; the water ceremony → John 7:37–39.
30. The great lamps of the feast — "I am the light of the world," said in their setting. the light ceremony → John 8:12. PLAUSIBLE — the ceremonial setting read as the backdrop.
31. The Sukkot cry Hoshia-na ("save now") sung to Yeshua at the Triumphal Entry. Psalm 118:25–26 → Matthew 21:9. PLAUSIBLE — the feast's own shout, raised to Him.
32. Solomon's Temple dedicated at Sukkot, the glory-cloud filling the house. 1 Kings 8:2, 10–11 → John 1:14; Revelation 21:3. PLAUSIBLE — the feast bound to the glory filling a dwelling.
33. All nations keeping the Feast of Booths in the age to come. Zechariah 14:16 → Revelation 21:3. PLAUSIBLE — forward-looking. TENSION on timing.
34. The eternal tabernacle: "the dwelling place of God is with man." Leviticus 23:42 → Revelation 21:3. Forward-looking; the text states it plainly.
Shemini Atzeret — the Eighth Day (forward-looking)
35. The eighth day of new beginnings — pointing past the finished seventh to the new creation. Genesis 17:12; Leviticus 23:36 → Revelation 21:1–5. PLAUSIBLE — the eighth-day pattern read forward.
36. The eveningless day — the rest with no sundown, where night is no more. Genesis 2:2 → Revelation 22:5. PLAUSIBLE — the open seventh day and the endless eighth held together.
The spring is signed and dated: the Lamb on Passover, the Bread in the ground through Unleavened Bread, the sheaf on Firstfruits, the fire on Weeks — every one on its day. The fall stands waiting under the same hand. A calendar half-kept to the letter is the surest promise that the rest of it will be kept too.
