About Eddie
I'm Eddie Morain — just a layman in Iowa with a worn Bible and a stubborn streak. No seminary, no pulpit, no credentials but a great deal of searching. This series is what came of that searching — the whole Bible read as one story, the one God making Himself reachable.
About the Bereans
When Paul preached at Berea, the people there didn't just take his word for it — they “examined the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so,” and Luke calls them noble for it (Acts 17:11). That is a Berean: someone who weighs every teacher, the apostle included, against the open text.
It's the rule this whole work runs on. Nothing here is owed your belief; all of it is owed your testing. I don't ask you to trust me — I'm a layman in Iowa, not an authority. I dig the trench, lay the evidence out in the open, tag honestly how sure I am, and hand it back with your Bible open beside mine. Where it holds, you aren't trusting me; you're seeing it for yourself, which is the only kind of seeing that lasts. Where it doesn't, the text wins — set that part down and keep walking. The digging is mine to do; the convicting belongs to the Ruach.
